I have the battery say at 18%, phone shuts off as if battery was below threshold. Plugging it in, shows the low battery symbol, and then a couple seconds it boots back up and shows 18%. Anyone have this?

Yup, I had the same thing. Yesterday I contacted Apple's support via chat on their webpage, they e-mailed me some kind of diagnostics test that showed them there was something wrong with the battery, I'm currently restoring the replacement phone to my backup as we speak :)

Express delivery, gotta love it.

Same here. Phone turned off and required power to be connected to turn on the device. After connecting power cable and turning the device on the battery was showing 15%

OP, i'll be curious as to how this goes. I've had this issue for almost 2 months and have not been able to find a fix. I brought it to the genius bar and their diags told me my battery is fine but this is annoying for me when it dies and will not power back on until I plug it in to a power source.

just got off the phone, they were willing to replace the phone via mail until I told I had a small crack on the screen from 6 months ago. That voided my warranty apparently and I am stuck, wonderful apple.

Ugh that sucks about the crack :(

Did they run diagnostics on your phone? I tried my luck with chat but they just told me to go to an Apple store and do a genius bar appointment. I'm sure they will just tell me my battery is fine.
