I have had an iPhone 5 sense about 3 weeks after lunch. The past day or two the hold button has been acting up, I will press it and the screen won't dim. Sometimes it take two or three clicks, other times it works first try. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Are you talking about the power/sleep button on the top occasionally (or essentially more often lately) not working? If so, your best might be to take it to an Apple store to have them take a look at it and perhaps try to fix it or even replace the phone.

mine started doing the same thing recently too. it only happens maybe 2 out of 10 pushes though. i still get a nice solid click on the button, so i dont know if its software or hardware. coincidentally, it didnt start happening until recently updating to 6.1. not sure if thats the cause.

Yes I mean the lock button. I guess I never thought about that as I have always called it the hold button.

It feels like the button is working fine, and I can't think of anything that would make it happen. I don't want to take it in if I don't have to because its over an hour drive to the closest apple store. Any quick home fixes I could try?
