the only 'problem' is the scuffs, not sure what other problems you are referring to?

My iPhone 5 is perfect (unlike my previous iPhone 4S, 4..etc), the only issue I had was a defective earpod

My phone has not been defeated. To be fair, I haven't had time to enroll it in any competitions.

It has not defected either. I think it was born after the break-up of the USSR.
