Okay, so I've been hearing everyone I know talk about an iPhone 5 being released in February. I've heard everything from "My dad works for apple" to "I heard it on the news" and I don't believe Apple would release one so soon... Anyway does anyone have a legitimate source they've heard this from? (9to5mac, cnet, macrumors, endadget, etc) Because I can't find anything. Thanks!

Yeah my dog barked it to me this morning!

I like the visual style of the 4 series and would not upgrade to a 5 unless it was drop dead gorgeous.

Because of this, I hope Apple releases the iPhone 5 in a few months time just so I can come here and read thousands of rants from angry kids who burnt their contract to have sex chat with Siri.

:D:D:D

I convinced Siri to tell me when the release date was and she just confirmed it being released in February.

Siri is never wrong!!

With the exception of when the guy lost the prototype iPhone 4 in a bar, any "news" about Apple's iPhones (and virtualyl all of their products) is rumors. Period.

Apple does a lot of things well, and keeping rumor mills abuzz about their next products is one of them.

NOT going to happen. The earliest we will see a new iPhone is September/October next year.

I'd say there is a slim chance we see one in the summer, but agree it is much more likely to be a full year from now.

I think Apple is going for a release cycle of iPhones in the fall, iPads in the spring.

Just like the iPad 3 was 'supposed' to come out in September. I tell you it seems like some rumors are started just to mess with gullible minds.

Not happening, the earliest will be June / July.... the iPhone 4S was delayed so we don't know that Apple has necessarily decided to change the launch cycle for the iPhone.

Given that it sounds like the 5 was not that far from completion... I can see a June / July launch... I don't see Apple sitting on tech letting it rot when it is complete.

Mm doubt it maybe an iPad 3? Probably but no iPhone 5 maybe 6 ha ha , I don't think apple will screw there customers like that

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I'm putting my bet on a september/October release. By then the LTE chips will be smaller and workable, perfect for the redesigned iPhone. Now as to what it will be called...I'm not even going to start on that question...

I signed up for a 12 month contract, so as soon as one gets released around September I can upgrade.

I don't think Apple are planning on doing an iPad > iPad 2 type update.

Link to the delay for a device that was never announced? I'm dying to see this.

You could try to, well, I don't know, think for yourself maybe? It's not rocket science.

I'm not one of those people who randomly claim the 4S was delayed. There was an article recently that stated the iPhone 4 was delayed due to Siri integration and they tried to get the iPhone 5 ready in time for the release but were unable to. If anyone knows the link to that article I would appreciate it if you could post it.

I will do my best to find the link though.
