This is getting idiotic.

Ok now I know you dont know anything about GSM, wordlphones nor the APPLE iPhone models.

Literally your entire screed is incorrect on the facts.

The ATT is the phone that WILL work least well in Europe.

LOOK at the thread title! The ATT is NOT A WOLRDLPHONE and Apple cant sell it as such . it will be selling unlocked versions of the SPRINT and VERIZON as Worldphones.

Apple will never sell anything as a "worldlphone". They'll sell you something that works around the world. They already do: all iPhones ever sold will work all around the world (excepting the original iPhone in Japan, as they don't have a 2G network there.)

You may run into limitations when using LTE, however, because LTE isn't really deployed as widely as we'd like it to be and there are still issues with frequency bands. Namely there being too many of them.

Oh, and when Apple in the US finally does start selling non-carrier iPhones, they'll be the AT&T model.

An unlocked world phone, the most capable and using the most common combination of type and frequency is already being sold right now in the US. it is the verizon iphone. Buying it out of contract is the exactly buying an iPhone 5 unlocked worldphone.

It happens that this phone is exactly the same as the one sold in the rest of the world. Except with CDMA disabled, because only Sprint and Verizon use CDMA and you can't take a phone not sold by (or for) Verizon or Sprint and use it on those networks anyway.

You proved to everyone here you have understanding whatsoever of what those of us who travel the world for a living know.

All that's being done here is you're proving you're an idiot.

FYI it is slight cheaper to buy a Version with contract and cancel than it will-ever be to buy one directly marked as unlocked. That is why there may never even need to be one marked as unlocked!

I'm aware of this, and I expect that little hole to be closed pretty soon.

Millions of unlocked Apple iPhone 5 worldphones have already been sold in the US!:D

Yes, and you're conveniently skipping over why they're unlocked.

Exacalty. All of us understand this here except one troll who doesnt understand the GSM/LTE set up in Europe and the differnt models Apple is making

I don't? I live in Europe. I know exactly what's going on here.

You proved why you are lost. the iphone 5 is marketed by US carriers as a world phone.

From your cut quotes I can tell you dont travel much out of Europe and sound like people who dont travel outside the US.

You are confused about the issue of bands or frequencies and when corrected you are lashing out as a troll.

That is why you are lost and dont understand what all the rest of us are talking about.

Oh, and when Apple in the US finally does start selling non-carrier iPhones, they'll be the AT&T model.
LOL. Everyone can see you dont undertand.

The Sprint/VErizon model is the Apple worldphone and what is sold in Europe. Teh non carrier phone is the 29 (srint verizon) not the ATT.
ATT phones will NOT work on announced European LTE frequenices. Everyone here but you knew that weeks ago.

I said Apple. You need to learn how to read.

I dare say I have travelled both in and out of Europe more than you have. I used to live in Asia. You live in the US so I'll give you that.

I have lived in Eruope and Asia more than you. Of that I am certain.

You gave the wrong information. You got schooled by several here and went ad hominem.

You simply don't understand the difference between CDMA, GSM and LTE. Many of us do. You don't.
