Exactly why I didn't use my aluminum bumper for my 4.

Well i used a Vapor Pro Black Ops for months on my 4S and it worked FANTASTIC. never an issue. But i should have know that with this case there is no cutouts and plastic. the black ops had a plastic section on the bottom left. So i hope who ever is making these will make a stretched Vapor Pro style and not just the Vapor 4.

+1
I was too hoping the "new" iPhone would not have a problem with the original vapor case.
I guess we just have to be patient 'till the pro version!

Didn't think this time around with an aluminum back it would have any effect. I used the Atomic hybrid on my iPhone 4 and lost no signal at all but not as nice looking. Oh we'll, here we go again.

Great looking case. How much? Only problem, it's all aluminum and not hyrbrid.

Here is mine that I bought of eBay, it's the all aluminum silver and mine doesn't drop signal that bad. It fluctuates between 3-4 bars n sometimes get all 5.

What I'd really love is a knockoff version of the Element Nickel Pro for the 5. Though, frankly, if they build one for the 5, it's so pretty I might just pony up the insane cost for the original.

Was really hoping that these didn't affect the signal on the i5....these cases look great!! Any other options that work?

and no signal issues?

nope, i get the same amount of signal that i had with the ebay rubber bumper.

i had no dropped calls. in certain areas i get all 5 bars.

im very happy with it.

plus i have the full clear ghost armor on it, not sure if thats helping it, since it puts a little cushin between the phone aluminum and the aluminum case.

Awesome, thanks! I don't see that seller on ebay, is that the right name? link?

yea, but as soon as i bought the case, the next day ebay sent me a message regarding her links been taken down, and then i thought, i was scammed, but she sent me a message explaining what happened and assured me that i would receive the cases.

i received the one i have already and expecting the other 1 today.

I've never used bumpers before, but I'm considering it. Is it possible to use any of these bumpers in combination with a wooden skin on the back (just the back) of the phone? There are a handful of cases with "real" wood backs (the Case-Mate Artistry Woods, for example), but they're either wildly expensive or too thick. I love the look of an aluminum case with a wood back. However, I can't find anything that looks just right. Pairing a custom skin (like these from Carved) with a nice aluminum bumper would be ideal if it's possible.
