You would hold the phone by the edges. I don't think that accidentally pressing the screen while holding would be an issue. That is how I normally hold mine phone anyway.

I kinda agree. I'd love for the bigger screen and think they might bring it vertical a bit more, but I don't see them going wider without making the phone a tad bit wider as well.
The white one is fugly, the black is alright but.. I don't think apple is going with edge to edge screen.
That would change the aspect ratio, which would create huge task for developers.
