Name a price. I'll bet you anything the next iPhone (or really, any well built and designed phone paired with a good OS) will succeed without 3D. It's a gimmick, one most people don't want

Honestly I think Apple is going to skip 3D all together. I do seem them revolutionizing the next generation... 4D is going to be amazing and I think Apple is going to be the leader with that.

4D is not possible on a phone or a computer. 4D=Smell, Taste, Feel+3D

The 3D (4G - whatever it was called) Evo wasn't that impressive. The 3D was cool, but it was it hurt my eyes.

Although the comment was a joke, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's not possible: It's not possible today but once we have a direct mind-machine interface (which will come within the next 100 years IMO), then smell, taste and feel will be possible as a replication of the sensory inputs into your brain)
So, not on the iPhone 5, but possibly the iPhone 25 :)

Some 3D movies are good.

And that is about all it is good for.

Until we have better 3D tech and some kind of 3D input technology 3D will be a gimmick.

Your touchscreen has 2 dimensions, so interacting with 3D content affords no advantage except for entertainment purposes.
