I know this questions has been asked before but I've spend many hours searching the forum and google and trying ever solution out there and nothing seems to work.

I have 3 iPhone 5 and none of them want to backup to itunes. When I connect them and press backup now I get this error message.

itunes could not backup iphone because a session could not be started

The only thing that seems to solve this issue is if I re-install iTunes but Im getting tired of re-installing iTunes every time Im going to backup one of the phones.

None of the phones are jailbroken or unlocked. They are both running the latest version IOS.

Any ideas how to get rid of this stupid error message?

Had this problem

I totally deleted Itunes and downloaded and installed it again. Then, before connecting my Iphone to my MBP, I did a hard reset on my IP5.( Hold Power and Home button until Apple logo appears, then release ). After that my MBP recognized my Ip5 and did the backup.

Im curious as to how did you deleted iTunes

I deleted itunes and installed a clean copy and I was able to backup my phone. Once I restarted the computer I went back to having the same issue.
