Alright so my iphone is 44 days out of warranty and my power button just stopped working, my luck right? Anyways im wondering is it that difficult to switch the power button out myself with a new one since apple is gonna charge me $270 for a new iphone replacement. Ive built computers before so I guess i know my way around parts but ive never worked on a phone

Would this be what I need to buy? The lock button lets me click it in but doesnt work so im guessing the sensor is out of wack

Also Ive been to 5 different apple stores and they all wont do it no matter how much I beg

That's exactly what you need. You will need to replace the entire flex cable.

Alright thanks you guys buying the parts today. Also how come some people that are out of warranty still get their iphones replaced but I cant even though I went to 5 different apple geniuses. Is there some phrase I should say for them to switch it out

you are out of warranty so technically they are right. however if you get the right person, they may be nice enough to help you out.
