I was not going to upgrade to the iPhone 5s, but my iPhone 5 screen is broke. Is it worth repairing or just upgrade to the new iPhone?

It is weird that it was fine this morning before putting it in my left pocket with nothing else. I take it out a few hours later and find the screen cracked from corner to corner.

I had an iPhone 4 for two years and sold it with never ever cracking the back or front.

I have dropped my iPhone before and have never seen damage on it.

Something about the stresses in the pocket must have hit it at the right angle when you sat down or something.

I mean it's up to you. Do you have an upgrade to use? If it's $80 to fix the glass the 5C (which is really a 5 in a shiny wrapper) is only $20 more upgrade price. The 5S would be $120 more.

I will say I'm loving the 5S. It's speedy!

It was bought a year ago during the iPhone 5 Launch.

The closest Apple Store is 2.5 to 3 hours away, I may just drive there on Saturday and get my screen replaced there than upgrade and pay $549 for a 32 GB iPhone 5s.

$150 now plus $299 in a year for iPhone 6 is less money and is reduced more since my iPhone 5 would be sellable.

My wife with an iPhone 5 is so sweet! She prefers me to upgrade to an iPhone 5s. That is what I think I will do and I will try my best to get away from the $250 early upgrade fee.

Awesome! My iPad 2 has an upgrade, so I am using it for the iPhone 5s! $300 for a silver 32 GB iPhone 5s. I will fix my screen anyway for $150 and then sell it for $300 or more.
