iPhone 5 Screen Displacement Fix??

Dropped my phone now it looks like white, grey and blue in the lower left hand corner.

I took it to Apple and the guy called it "screen displacement". Apparently, if you drop your phone a certain way it can do it. I guess it's lifting up. Almost looks like water under it. But he checked and it's not water. He said they could replace the screen for $149 but could not guarantee that it would fix the problem and if so would then replace the phone.

I was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem and had any DIY fixes.

That's kinda beautiful, I've never seen anything like it. Looks like an ocean coast. Put it on eBay and describe it as a feature 😛

the cracked.com DYI kits for the iPhone 5 are $99. maybe replace it yourself.
