Greetings fellow MacRumors readers!
I'm a resident of Sri Lanka and I got myself an iPhone 5 unlocked device in the USA in December. Yesterday (20th Jan) I noticed my iPhone screen turns red and the phone restarts on its own. This happened twice yesterday and once just now. Has anyone else faced this situation before? Also is this a software issue which can be solved by a simple restore or is it a hardware issue which will have to be taken into the apple store. I'm flying to Dubai in a weeks time and is it possible for me to get this swapped or repaired it there although I bought it in the USA.

Thanks!

That does sound hardware related, but if you perform a clean re-set and re-install via Itunes it's the first step towards diagnosis. If that fails to correct the issue, then a swap out is the obvious course of action.

Thanks

Thank you Macman45 for your prompt reply. I shall try this and see.
