I know iPhone has screen yellow tint problem and it will disappear after somedays. But my iPhone has yellow edges, it still exist after used several months. Is this ok or I need to ask for replacement?

If the tint bothers you, I would take it in to the Apple Store. They could probably just replace the screen, or replace the entire device, at no charge if you're still under warranty and can replicate the problem (ie, they also see the yellow tinted edges). I just recently got my 3rd gen iPad replaced due to a green tint that affected half if the display. The Genius noticed it after inspecting the screen, and brought out a brown-box iPad, same model, to swap with me. Good luck! Sent from from my iPad.

Yellow screens DO NOT disappear over time. This is a common myth. It's not true. Yellow screens are yellow and will be so in a 1000 years. End of story.

Yellow edges around the screen that develop over time are a defect. I had it too.

My brothers iPhone 5 is having the same problem, but the edges are green not yellow. Its also all the edges. It bothers me all the time I have to use his phone, but he doesn't notice it. I might push him into going to the Apple Store and getting it replaced. His 1 year is over in July and doesn't believe in extend warranties.

Verizon, iPhone 5, Slate, 32GB. Purchased 7/2013.

Last week, I took one of my 16 GB iPhone 5's to the local Apple Store to get it checked for something very similar to what you are describing. The tech there had never seen it before, but saw it clearly as well, and wound up replacing my screen for free. Mine was similar to as described in this thread:

Yesterday I was at my mother-in-law's house and I noticed it on her 16 GB iPhone 5 as well. I didn't mention anything, but maybe I'll have her go to the genius bar as well. Very strange.

My iPhone 5 is the same way with the green edges. Never really noticed it until I had installed iOS 7 with all the whites. I'm far outside the policy, doubt I could get it replaced or repaired for free.

I think yellow and green are same thing, about 5 mm on all edges.

I have 2 brand new 5S here and they both have this although I can't see it unless its a black background in a dark room

I can only see at white background. Did warranty replacement, but found the new screen has a dead pixel. Need to do it again, the quality of new screen is not good for iPhone 5, 5s.

Idk why I wrote black background, I meant white.

I'll take a picture of mine today if I remember and post it. My 5s looks great, and my 5 looks good until you look at the edges lol.

There you guys go in case you wanted the picture.

My iphone 5 has this problem and is now out of warranty.

The iphone 5 is my first Apple product and I'm now on my third one.

1st - replaced under warranty for speaker going dead.

2nd - replaced under warranty for shutting off randomly.

3rd - yellow edges screen defect.

Needless to day I don't think iphone will be my next phone.

Nonsense. I've never seen this before on other phones.

I've had friends who had to return their android based phones for various defects, maybe not specifically a yellow screen.

I returned my iphone once for battery drain. Most people I know do not return iphones within the first few days. I know friends who returned android phones for various defects.

What the hell are you talking about? Ofcourse other phones can have defects too, but we're talking about a very specific type of defect here.

The hell I'm talking about was a general comment. Just because you haven't seen screen defects on any other phone doesn't mean they don't exist.

I've never seen an iphone yellow screen, scan lines or any other iphone screen defect. I can't even really tell there is any issue from the photo above.

You can't see the issue?

It's not so much that the edges or borders are yellow, it's more that the centre is pink coloured.

Trust me, it's much more pronounced in person.
