Normal person: My iPhone doesn't work. Let's go back to the store.

MacRumors user: My iPhone doesn't work. Let's take a picture / video of it and start a new thread and ask other people what I should do!

Lol.

Yup. My screen had backlight bleeding, took it in, waited 5 minutes for a genius, he confirmed the issue, got a new iphone for me, out the door in 10 minutes.

Mine is missing a row of pixels from top to bottom on left side. Very hard to see but once u see it! Its driving me nuts! Also having a issue setting up one of my email accounts. Can't send emails although they go to the sent folder? They never arrive at the email address i sent it to! WTF!!! Anyone??

In my case, it is several row of pixels blinking around the lower part the screen. I saw it twice so far. annoying!

Looks like there's quite a bit of phones where that same exact spot is being pushed up/down on the screen. Apple ***** the bed yet again.

yeah mine is doing the same as well except it doesnt seem to be as bad as in your video. im debating if its worth fussing over. anyone know if this might go away over time or should i contact apple?

My iPhone 5 screen is flickering bad! Can't read letters or words with all the pixel shifting. Sucks.

I thought I had a perfect phone but just a few moments ago, as I was typing my password to download a new app in the app store, a few little glitchy lines appeared down at the keyboard on either side of the screen, starting at the edge and coming in to just about halfway over the A and L buttons. only appeared for a few seconds as I was typing it in. Tried to nab a screenshot to see if it would show up, but no dice. It's as if about 4 or 5 random lines of pixels started spazzing out for a bit. That's the first and only time I've noticed it all day so far. I've had the phone since 10 this morning. If it ever happens again, I'll probably head up to an Apple Store or at least try to document it if I can.

*edit* in case it matters: Phone was plugged into my Mac at the time.

I am having the same exact issue! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8_dxACdqkc

I returned mine to the store where I bought it from, was in and out in 10 minutes with a new sealed box (when i had my 3g replaced a few years ago they just swapped out the phone). The new phone has been fine so far. I bought the phone sim-free so if you bought it alongside a new contract in store it could take a bit longer.

Just got the iPhone 5 and have a screen "burn in" / halo effect going on. Annoyed but glad to see I'm not the only one. Been on the phone with Sprint for nearly 5 hours over the last few days. Now the phone isn't available for 2 weeks. Of course the return policy is 14 days. What a pain!

Just got mine today...

drove an hour to go get mine and now I noticed a spot 1cm x 1cm roughly under the glass screen. Sprint 32GB White
