i just recently unlocked my iphone 5 and put it on simple mobile but so far i can only make calls and text i cant use any data, anyone know why i cant use my apps or anything and if so what is the best pre-paid company to use for the 5 that allows me to use data?

Did you try installing one from this site on your iphones safari browser?
unlockit.co.nz

yeah I tried that thanks, but all I'm getting is edge data connection -___-
I even took the phone with me to work and the data hasn't changed no 3G anywhere, my co-worker has simple mobile too and he gets 4G on his galaxy

That's all you will get cause Simple mobile uses tmobiles network and that hasnt been fully updated yet to support the 3G bands utilized by the iphone. If you used a tmobile galaxy you too would get 3G/4G but not with any current iphone model.
If you want 3G you should go with straight talk.

I seem to be on the same boat as you, I understand that I wont get 4G bc iPhone 5 doesnt have 1700 band but I am getting 3G and EDGE however nothing in safari ever loads.

I have installed the apn profile from unlockit.co.nz as well as manually put in "simple" in the apn but no luck.

Have not looked for a while, but when I was doing this for Net10 service there were several choices and I had to try them one by one until I got the one that worked. Not sure about simple, since I don't have the iPhone I used for Net10 anymore.
