Well , i'm just going to do a quick story here and maybe someone might know more info for me. My black 32gig iphone 5 has the bad power button issue like many others. Have been going back and forth with apple and have not gotten a "real" answer from them at all for nearly a month. Phone was purchased overseas and provider unlocked. It was a vodafone from germany at the time. A1429 unit. It is currently in the united states and now the power button is not working so trying to get it replaced. Apple systems all state I have a hardware warranty for another 150 or so days and everything but they say they don't have anything to replace it with. Was actually told to get a 3rd party repair shop to work on it. (applecare said that... ) Latest one was that apple does not repair or replace vodafone items even where they sell them in those countries (which is weird as their are many reports of apple doing this) SO ... anyone ever run into a situation like this? Apple is giving me so many random answers and runarounds it is pretty funny but getting upsetting as it is a apple piece of hardware that they will not even touch.
