iPhone 5 sound stopped working

Hi, I have googled this a little, but sadly nothing seems to have helped.

This morning, my phone was working fine, and halfway through the day I noticed the sound wasn't working. It is not in silent mode, and nothing has happened to it. It was working in my pocket, it suddenly was no longer.

Ringer sound, app sound, music sound, all not working. The phone function is normal. I've tried all the trouble shoots I can find, like plugging earphones in and the charger, but that didn't help. I have also done a full reset and restore and it's still without sound.

It's an iPhone 5 which I've had since November. Never had any problems until today.

I really appreciate any advice anyone has.

no sound

i have the exact same issue. i had this happen several times with my 4s but it always started back after goin to sound settings and changing ring tones a few times. this time, however, the iphone5 has yet to regain the sound. i have tried everything. my phone is 1 1/2 month old 32g white iphone5
