iPhone 5 stay on iOS 9 or downgrade to 8.x

im giving my iPhone 5 to another family member once I get the new iPhone today
Should I restore to iOS 9 or give them the phone with iOS 8 and tell them never to upgrade ?

Depends if you hate them or not?

Hate = give them iOS9
Like = give them iOS8

I can't advise about the 5, but the 5s was excellent on 9.1b2. As good as 8.4

I would stay with what you have. My 5 and 5s are on 9.0.1 and I wish I'd stayed with 8.4.

iOS9 runs great on my wife's iPhone 5. Just go with the latest and greatest.

Keep it on iOS 8. iPhones run slow after 2 upgrades so it is best to keep it on 8 since the iPhone 5 shipped with iOS 6. Look at the iPhone 4S, it runs like crap after 3 upgrades (iOS 7).

My iphone 5 is as fast as it was on 8.4.1, problem is battery doesnt last as much
