Im on verizon and i get 40 mbps download and 25 mbps upload by where Im at and websites load faster then it does on wifi ..couldnt be any happier i have no issues with my phone switching to 3G from LTE..it constantly stays on LTE for me and my reception is even better then my OLD Galaxy S3

There are over 5 million iPhone 5's sold and some threads here have 2 million views.

30,000 out of several million is not a lot. If you have issues just exchange the phone under warranty and wait a few days for the network to update your info which improves reception noticably.

Really? Have you ever switched your iphone into fieldtest mode? You do know how to do that, don't you? If you don't, you shouldn't be making generalizations. I maintain LTE in my house that has steel siding, with a signal strength at -110 dBm. My Razr Maxx could never do that. Oh yea, my DL speed, even with that very weak signal, is still consistently over 12 Mbs. Never dropped LTE yet in my city. Finally, I have no clue what language you are using.

Wow, you couldn't be more wrong. AT&T and Verizon do in fact offer LTE and the speed is faster than most peoples home internet. If you are referring to the 4G standard of 100mb/s, well that isn't going to happen on US phones until home connections reach those speeds. But to say that 25-40Mb/s is a joke...as compared to .5Mb/s is, well, a joke.

You can't generalize Canada either. I'm in the same city as OP (Montreal) on Bell, and I'm more often on LTE than on 3G. Speeds are great.

Not sure why he blames Apple rather than his carrier (Telus).

If you're unhappy return your phone and switch to the many other Canadian carriers selling the iPhone 5 (Rogers, Fido, Bell, Virgin...). They all offer LTE and plan prices are pretty much the same everywhere anyway.
