iPhone 5 Video to iMovie / Final Cut

I'm recording a video on my iPhone 5 and when I Import into iMovie or Final Cut Pro is their a way to see the audio track and video track so I can dub over the audio?
 
I haven't used iMovie in a while but in Final Cut Pro it's a breeze. Just use the timeline and turn the volume down on the audio and insert your own.
