I love pitch black for the homescreen.

Or, this one is nice for home or lock

And I like this one for the lock screen it's like he is peeling the phone unlocked

really like both of these, so i re-jigged these to the screens dimensions:

Great stuff here. Keep in mind, you need to compensate for the clock and slider on the top and bottom for the lock screen. I made a Photoshop layered template for you to use as a guide to optically center your images, and see how they will look on the lock screen.

Love this one... however, I like to have a graphic such as this on the lock screen with a more neutral "uncluttered" graphic for anything else. I would use the "plus" (Swiss) flag for the lock screen and would like to remove the plus, leaving the distressed red for the rest.

Any Photoshop folks have some advice on how to achieve this?

i'd do it using the stamp tool. make the radius quite large and but i'd only have it on 50% strength perhaps. then i'd fix it on the center of one of the red squares in the bottom, and i'd fill in the white square at the bottom using single clicks, not long sweeps. go over and over a few times, switching the origin of the stamp tool to the red square on the other side so that it doesn't look too uniform. and then pretty much repeat for the rest of the image.

there might be an easier way by using a layer style and tinting the white to red perhaps?

This always been my favorite for home screen

i kept the lights at the top the same size and just stretched the dark section below - hopefully this will work better for you rather than just scaling the whole image.

Ok... Gave it my best shot. I'm happy with it. Used a layer for the plus, changed the hue and saturation, brightness of the layer until I got a good match, then clone stamped the edges. Good enough! Thanks, again, for your direction!
