probably not exactly what you had in mind, but it's hard to fit a wide picture on a narrow screen and make it look good. maybe someone else can do better...

found also some nice old apple backgrounds on my computer (unfortunately still optimized for iphone 4 size). but if someone of you has some sparetime, they can be optimized quite fast for the iphone 5 size I guess.
