IMO It seems pretty obvious that there will be a redesign iPhone coming out.

This will be the first time that I'm going to be upgrading to the newest iPhone from a old gen one. I've heard so much stories on pre-order days and just how difficult it is to grab one on day one.

What do you think is the best option? What do you normally go for when upgrading?

Should I pre-order online the moment it goes up or should I just go to a not well known AT&T store?
 
Either pre-order online or wait a month or so before I get it. There's no way in hell I'm lining up at a store for a few hours to get one.

Pretty limited choices as there is not an option for anything other than getting it. For me, I won't be upgrading until next year.
 
I will be pre ordering from whatever site does not melt down first, preferably the Apple site.

If I am lucky I will even get it a day early like some people did last year... that would be sweet... like icing!
 
Pre-order 1 from apple.com and pre-order another one from AT&T website
 
No option for pre-ordering elsewhere?

I'm using Best Buy like I did with the iPhone 4. No lines, no wait and I'll get it on day one.

I pre-ordered my iPhone 4 from Verizon at launch and Verizon shipped it and I got it way before launch and even before Apple shipped theirs. Probably won't happen this time but you never know!
 
MAN! I really get nervous around this time ESPECIALLY after the last release debacle. Didnt they sell out in like 1 hour? (I was lucky to somehow get in - at 6:00 am!).
 
I will try to pre order through apple, but it really doesn't matter to me. Who ever's website I can get through first I guess. Last time around I pre-ordered through att.

I believe that people who did this with iPhone 4 last year wound up having both orders cancelled for some reason. I have no clue why, and can't remember exactly what the issue was, but I know for sure there were problems with people trying to cover all the bases by ordering from both Apple and AT&T
 
Im typically an Apple Wh*** but I might have to go to a little known Radio Shack a few days before and talk to the manager to hold one for me if I prepay...I know when I worked there a guaranteed sale was better than an "I'll be back" anyday! I just hope that this works! This is only if there is no pre-order!. I have a charity golf tourney at 1:00PM hopefully I can be out before tee time!
 
Whatever most conveniently gets me the Verizon iPhone on the first day it's available.
 
You poll is flawed because it only caters for this in the US. That said I will most likely just pre-order it on Apple's site. If that is not an option then I will use my connection at the local Apple store to get it.
