Hi there

Today I had a customer that came in with am iPhone 5 that wouldn't boot. I have tried restoring the device using iTunes and DFU mode, but it fails every time, giving me error 4005 and 4014...
Is that device dead or are there some tricks to try?

I have no idea. Might tell them it's time to upgrade ;) I know if the Genius had told me that this week instead of offering to replace my battery I'd be kind of ok with it lol.

I have this exact same problem on my 5 with the exact same error codes (to include first line from screen shot). It seemed to begin after an iOS 9 upgrade with spontaneous reboots, got steadily worse over a few days, spiraling down to the same state described here. Any help greatly appreciated ... about ready to throw it against a brick wall!
