I am asking help out here because I can't seem to get anything from apple and I would like advice.

I recently bought a brand new unlocked iphone 5c. In 2 weeks, I am at my 4th phone. Everytime I went to the apple store, the only thing they did was changing the phone for a service one and send me home. I am still having the following issues with the 4th phone.

    1. Apps are crashing, freezing (mostly, mail, phone, settings). I have to restart (force close it trough top and home button) the phone in order for them to work.
It has gotten better since the first phone, but the issue is still present. I have started the phone as new 4 times (did not use backup from icloud). I have very few apps (tried to see if it would make a difference - no).
    I am running 7.1.1

    2. iMessages doest not work well.
I have iMessages on 2 devices with the same account: on my iPad mini retina and on the new iPhone.
It works perfectly on the ipad.
The main issue is that I, most of the time, do not receive a notification on the iphone while i get it on the iPad, and in order to "receive" the message on the iphone, I need to send a message to someone to receive messages others sent me (as if I needed to "connect" to the server in order for my phone to realise that someone sent me a message 2 hours ago). And, I repeat, no issues on the iPad
Also, I've notice it takes a little bit of time for the message to be marked as "delivered" even if it has been sent (I know that because it appears on the ipad with delivered right below way before it says it on the iphone)

I tried resetting the network settings - no changes
Today tried shutting down iMessages on the ipad and leaving it only on the iphone - maybe slightly better, but still, 1 out of 2, not receiving notifications until I start "connecting" by sending someone a message.
Occurs either on wifi or on LTE.

I had the same issues with my iphone 4 at the end of his life (right before I got the iphone 5c), but everything was starting to be unbareble so I just figured it was the phone and did not pay much attention to it...

Any suggestions? Anyone experiencing the same issues? I am fed up with going to the apple store, and I would like to have tried a few things before I go back there again to get my phone swaped with no answers to my issue. I thought about getting a 5s, but what if it all reccurs? Also, I really like the look of the 5c...
    Thanks :)

    Works fine here!

I have an amazing White iPhone 5C 32GB and works perfectly here, iMessage works fine, not app crashing, maybe you have to upgrade your phone or make a restore or something...:)

Unfortunately it looks like you have to restore as new and not restore from backup. Definitely something from your old backup causing the issue.

DFU setup, don't restore but instead redownload your apps & resync your personal data from iCloud.

    thanks for all the replies.

I already did restore the phone as new, with no improvement noted.

I tried deleting my icloud account from the phone and then re-installing it. It seems to have make a difference in imessages (it is not yet perfect, but definitely better), but not in terms of crashes (now my phone even powered off twice on his own today).

Could it be linked to my apple id?
