iPhone 5c missing components from logic board causing camera not to work

hi all

the camera wont work on a 5c i have

it just has a blank preview screen and does nothing forzen cant switch to front camera or anything

checked logic board and it seems as if 2 components are missing

can someone tell me what they are or where i could go to find out ?

the close up is of just under the rear camera connector

There are very few here that can tell you if something is missing from your circuit board.

I would check with Apple.

I'm guessing if you have a view of your logic board, you might have other issues....

I haven't taken my phone apart so I can't tell you what my 5c looks like, but why not take it to apple if the camera is not functioning?

Agreed, take it back to Apple or where ever you bought it.

Hi OP, based on your photo, there are 4 exposed pads that I can see (shiny solder dots that are contacts for a surface mount component, such as an IC or other part). At first, I thought it could be for two micro capacitors, but upon closer inspection of a bare board, it appears that there is one less IC on your board. I do not know the function or part number for this IC, unfortunately.

I would reassemble your device, and as everyone suggests, make a visit to the Apple a Store. It would be wise not to mention the disassembly offhand. Sent from my iPad.
