Hi,

I found an iphone 5C being sold on ebay for $214!!!! plus like $10 shipping.
good feedback so far. 32GB too.

just wondering if its still worth it to get the iphone 5C especially at that price?
Thinking to buy them for my dad and sister, dad is retired, using an iphone 4s and sister in college, with a barely working iphone 4s too haha

Dad doesnt care about technology, hence why he never upgrades. But he goes out fishing ALOT, and his battery always dies midway through the day (old phone?). Drives me insane not being able to contact him and see how he is/when he'll be back home. Especially when the weather turns. He needs a new phone.

thanks!

Yes the 5C is still a great phone and most people are fine without all the newer technology. Is that a new or used phone?

I loved my 5c and in some ways, I miss it. I have the IP6+ which is a great phone, but I miss how holdable that puppy was.

That's a good price and worth it. I would say go for it.

For the price and the customers not needing cutting edge, that is a good buy.

The iPhone 5c was probably my favorite iPhone design - I would say its still worth it if you can find a used 16 or 32GB model, but the 8GB isn't necessarily worth it.

I wonder what a Gold 5S 16GB is going for?

Yes. The 5C is a better phone than the 5S, in my opinion. I have a theory that Apple wanted to 'feel' the consumers for their opinion of plastic.

Unfortunately for us all, after the iPhone 4 used metal and glass, it is seen as going "backwards" in terms of materials to use plastic again. I believe Apple knew this, and wanted to see if consumers agreed. They SHOULD have just released the 5C and let it sell millions, but because they gave people choice, of course they chose familiarity and "superior" metal and glass.

I own both a 5C and a 5S, and IMO, the 5C's screen has a better color temperature, and I believe even the camera takes better photos. (I know, I know, the 5S has a better camera, in specs).

It also feels way better in the hand than the 5S. Get it!

i just looked at the same seller. no 16gb 5S. but the 32gb 5S is going for $429. meh. this was a sub $500 purchase decision for me, for the two of them. $900 is a bit rich to give to my dad and sister for new phones, given that they dont really appreciate tech.

The 5C and 5S both have the same display..? (iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5 use the same display as the 5S and 5C as well) You may have gotten either a 5C or a 5S that has a yellow tint, an unfortunately common defect when it comes to iPhone and iPad displays. I won't argue with you when it comes to 5C vs 5S for color quality, I personally think the iPhone 5S is superior, but some people like to see different qualities in their photos I guess you could say.
