My buddy is on att prepaid and I want to help him out and out him on my T-Mobile plan but I don't want to buy him a new phone. Att won't unlock his phone. Is there an unlock solution for the iPhone 5c that's been updated to 9.2? Thanks.

Keep in mind that AT&T has fired two employees for installing malware that allowed third party unlocks from outside AT&T's system and that AT&T has sued Swift Unlocks for unauthorized unlocks through those two fired employees.
You will either pay through the nose, wait a considerable amount of time or be denied an unlock because AT&T is probably keeping a better eye on all of this right now - whatever unlock company you decide on.
Just thought I'd mention that.

Not sure how reliable or pricey the imei unlocks are now.
But if you can't unlock it just sell it and get one for the carrier you want to use.
