So I've noticed that recently my phone drops from 15-20% battery life right down to 1-4% without going through the percentages in between, so frustrating because I'll be using the phone thinking it still has 20% then next thing I know it dies on me...

Has anyone had this issue?

Is there a way to find out the battery cycle number of my phone?

Temperature fluctuations?

Run it all the way down. Let it sit for a while. Plug it in. Don't turn it on until charged 100%.

i don't know about it being a regular occurrence on a 5s but on a 5, yes, this is a regular occurring thing.
you can try to recalibrate the battery and try turning off always-on location following settings and things like this, but the batteries in original 5 are just too old now and increasing subject to jumps like this.
for battery jumps like yours on a 5s i haven't seen too many stories about it.

My 5s does this too. The battery percentage actually seems to get stuck at around 20%. Then right around 5% it starts updating again. I don't think it is draining faster than normal (although it does drain quickly because it is old). It just isn't updating the percentage correctly. I've tried restoring the phone but no luck.

Is the load cycle too high? Seems like based on the numbers, the battery can still hold a charge almost the same as new

OMG lol I had this happen to me today when I went for a run.

The phone went to 5% from 20 and then to 1% and turning off.

I have 5S also.

My 5s does the same sometimes, and when I'm not on wifi I only get 2-4 hours of usage. If I then plug my phone in when it's on just a few %, it'll jump up from for example 2% to 9% just from plugging in the charger. Tried restoring and charging to 100% then letting it run out etc but the problem still exists.
