What is wrong with iOS 9.2, can u explain in details? You told me that you are on 8.4.1 in the earlier replies.
Yes, but I updated it tonight. Thrust my words man, dont update ever, not even 9.3. It would never be fast and responsive as 8.4.1. Baterry life Is pretty bad. I did a celan instal, and turn off everything that can be turned off. Mark my words. I always loved apple and iphones beacuse they were so fast and optimized, but now im really disappointed. STAY ON iOS 8.4.1 AS LONG AS YOU CAN!

That looks amazing. What are you talking about? That's about 8 hours of usage. I'd have a party if I ever got that.
Me too. Never been able to go beyond 6.30 usage time on screen despite with relatively long stby time (as long as 2-3 days). But impossible to have an average discharge rate of 10% per hour as claimed by other more fortunate people...

I think people who claim that 10% per hour are on the 6+/6S+. Which model do you have?

edit: never mind, apparently I cant read this morning. This is an iPhone 5S thread.

A phone isn't a dog that needs to settle. Same BS as cleaning Dalvik cache on Android.
And yet there's enough observational evidence to show that many people experience things like higher battery usage or something similar right after updates that usually gets better within a day or two (and a charge or two).

After an update your phone is running a bunch of background processes. Next time you update your phone, download system stats - your CPU usage is all over the place for a few hours.

I have a 6s with 64 Gb and sammy chip

My mom's iPhone 5 runs great on 9.2... Not sure why a 5s would have issues but a 5 wouldn't.

It's the iPhone 5s's 3rd update ( to Apple, the 3rd update is something that ruins the system ), the 4th update is one of the best updates an iPhone gets.

This is my battery life on iOS 9.2 (clean install 2-3 days ago) on my iPhone 5S. iPhone is year and a half old. Everything is turned off (location services, background app refresh...) and turned on low power mode around 20%.

Yeah no problem. Maybe tomorrow. Its okej. But there are so many bugs. On the springboard everywhere. But its not near iOS 8.4.1. I feel like my iPhone 5S is not longer iPhone 5S

And on low power mode iphone is slow. It isnt snappy like on normaln mod. Idk if the low power mode does something to the cpu

LPM does scale down the CPU, although it would only really be noticeable in something that uses CPU/GPU heavily, like an intensive game or something like that, and just regular usage of the device for basic things wouldn't really be noticeably affected.

Battery on 9.2 is the just as awesome as previous versions of iOS 9 on my 5s. I haven't seen the improvements dwindle.

Personal experience: I would still go back to 8.4.1. Battery for me went from an average 7hr usage to 5hr usage on my iPhone 6. It could be battery deterioration but I highly doubt I would notice it immediately after an update and then stay this 5hr average since then. But this is me. I speak for no one else. I would stay on 8.4.1 until the final version of iOS 9 if you really MUST have the newest features like Low Power Mode which, in my opinion, does not extend your daily usage but is designed by Apple to squeeze battery out when you're almost dead until you get to a charge. That's the point of it. It's not to be used to extend your battery altogether but only to keep it alive until you reach a charger. Which is why it can be triggered at 20%, 15%, and 10%. I mean, you can turn it on at 100%, but that only bogs down the experience which I don't like nor does Apple want. But if you're willing to put up with a bogged down experience with LPM on, then I don't see a reason why you wouldn't update even IF there are problems of lag and stutter because activating LPM will only exacerbate these issues if not create them. Still, personal preferences here.

EDITED: To ensure I do not take away 37 seconds from anyone who owns an iPhone other than the 6. :p

I read all that, then realized you were talking about the iPhone 6.

I want my 37 seconds back. J/k

Just because one person has a goof experience, doesn't mean you will have the same experience. There are so many factors involved. Additionally, as others have posted. Using Low power mode 24/7 will drastically reduce the performance of the device. You will most likely see a lot more lag and stutter than running it with low power mode off.

The only way to accurately compare your battery life to someone else is to have all the same settings and make sure the battery health is at the same capacity. The latter is the more important.

My 5s was eating up battery life a few % every 10/20 minutes or so. I did a complete wipe, installed fresh, and made sure I selected what I wanted or didn't want/need on the phone. Now its back to longer battery life. Don't remember what I downloaded or setting that made it drain faster, but now its fixed, but the above poster (Mirollin91) is correct, its what we have on the phone, which might very well be different than someone elses. Battery life is a individual thing.
