iPhone 5s camera focus

Hi guys I've just noticed that my iPhone 5S camera won't focus on something very close to it. Is it normal?
 
How close are we talking about here? Is it a distance you were able to focus on before, and now you can't?
 
yes i was able to focus with the iphone 4s, i switched to the 5s but i did not noticed it. however i'm talking about 3-4 centimeters.
