Can you elaborate as to how often it's happening. I felt like it was at least a third of calls. I just got my phone swapped over at the apple store but I think this one is going to do the same.

I can feel a note 3 coming along. Getting pissed off.

Mine was on Verizon opened a ticket and 2 hrs later it was resolved - it was a problem with the initial provisioning

iPhone 5S Much better reception

I live in a rural area, where reception is marginal in places.

My experience with the iPhone 5S is that it is far better than the 4S. I can converse in places where the 4S would not have any reception. Same carrier (Verizon) just a different phone.

Have you ever thought about getting a cellular booster and antenna ?

EE 4g in the UK. Stationary but in an area with several masts. Could be pinging between them.

A friend of mine is on EE and drops calls all the time. It drives him nuts as EE says there's nothing wrong with the signal where he is. He also loses his data connection when switching between 3G and 4G.

Oh and he uses a Samsung Galaxy S4.

I also had an issue where the call would go silent for 5-10 seconds and then either come back or just drop.

Anyway, I complained so much and as I was in an "optimised" area (Orange mast removed) they let me out of three contracts early.

I am now with vodafone which while it has crappy 4g in comparison I can make phone calls without an issue. Wow !!!
