iPhone 5s Home button light not working

I just unpacked my new iPhone 5s and have been using it for a day but the ring light in the home screen button hasn't lit up yet. Is there a particular setting to make this happen?

Somebody saw a highly touched up pix of the 5s with the lighting just so... or a fake 5s.

Don't worry OP, u can count Apple to never do anything that gaudy on the iphone.

What made you think the home button will light up? The ring is just stainless steel.

That's the new start up screen for iOS 7. If you have a white iPhone, the screen is white and with a black iPhone, it'll be black. A nice touch.

if you want a light up home button, i suggest you trade your phone for a blackberry 9860.
