I had both consoles pre-ordered day 1.. so they will be coming to me on launch day. No sweat on my end.

I have a few of each day one editions on order with Amazon. And I'm not even keeping one for me.

    Not really.

Both Microsoft and Sony have a preorder system that works. No queuing up early hours or that ********. You preorder in advance. Scalpers have no idea what to do. Whether to buy or will there be sufficient stock.

I don't get why Apple still don't allow you to go to store and preorder.

really no offence intended :) but what's the point in getting both? I don't game at all, but I've always thought it's people who like xbox and others who like playstation. am I mistaken, or are you just getting both to test them and return one in the end? just curious

No way. They allowed for preorders...and they're well on their way to manufacturing them. I think there's going to be plenty of supply from both systems this time around....both microsoft and sony have done well in planning.

In the beginning, yes lol. Now, I'm sticking with the Xbone which is more convenient for me anyways (owned the Xbox 360 ever since launch, tons of achievements and all my friends have Xbox). Anyways this is off topic

It's not even close to a prelude because you could pre-order both.

I'm getting both as well. For me I am getting the Xbox One primarily for the Smart TV functions and because of the tech geek in me. I hate to say it but Microsoft may be the first company to truly get the Smart TV experience right. The voice tech to operate your tv will be like Siri in your living room. It will run any internet connected device in your home, change the temp, check security cameras, run any Windows App, IE, and notifications from APPs right on my TV sounds perfect to me. It has a picture in picture function so I can browse on IE and watch TV at the same time or watch tv and play a game or game/watch tv and run any app at the same time. I think it is a massively powerful idea to have all of that right in your living room and I really think it is going to be a massive hit. Microsoft actually seems to have gotten something right.

The PS4 has far better gaming exclusives for my tastes. There really is not much else they are pushing the bar on that Microsoft is not doing as well, but the exclusive games from SECA are the top quality AAA games in the industry.

no offense taken. I just want to be able to play exclusives on both consoles. I am an xbox gamer first but I do enjoy the occasional PS game that is an exclusive. Sure, I could live with only an xbox, but if I have the means to responsibly acquire both, why not?

Xbox girl all the way although I have both preordered.
My PS3 collects dust, hopefully the PS4 can get more use.

Oh god we really don't need console wars in this section.

The last time that happened there was a MAJOR crackdown in here folks.

For the sake of all the regulars here that are NOT fanboys of any description - they are gamers - irrespective of format - lets try to keep that ***** out of here..........

Agreed, particularly that would be nice reference a people who try to resemble consoles 5S and 5C. Both consoles seem to be equal except bundles and game.
