iPhone 5s resets to hello screen

So, my dads iPhone 5s has this strange issue where when you turn it off and back on, it opens back up to the hello screen as if its setting up a new phone. Not sure why. you have to go through the setup again.

Not sure if does with reseting the iPhone also.

I would recommend resetting it. Looks like a hardware issue that would fix itself if you reset it. How long has it been happening for?

If resetting does not work it could be a hardware problem. The Apple store will diagnose for free.
