Just curious, I don't think Apple or anybody has clarified this.

3GS - Speed

4S - Siri

5S- (Touch ID) Sensor? Scanner?

What do you guys think?

I'm sure it stands for speed just like in the 3G. It was stupid for Tim to say the S in the 4S stood for Siri. I have a good feeling they just threw that out there.

Second edition? That would apply to all the others, too lol

Since the iphone 4S has that "S" in it, I think the above poster is on to something. Its the second edition, but to tell you the truth, I'm not going to loose any sleep over this ;)

I thought it was confirmed after the keynote that it stands for "Sensors" this time. Fingerprint, M7, camera image sensor, etc.

They never said the S in 4S was for Siri... It's just part of the name now...
