Is to worth to upgrade?

Don't do it. If it weren't for an app I require for work, I would still be happily using iOS 8.x on my 6 Plus.

If you're already on iOS 11, upgrade to 12.0 as you'll see some improvement, if you're on iOS 10, keep it that way until your favorite apps stop supporting iOS 10 (iOS 10 is definitely faster than iOS 12)

I'm still on 9. Haven't seen anyone compare 9 to 12, so I'll stay with 9, assuming it's faster.

Sounds like software wise iOS 12 is pretty good upgrade. Those of you who have now been using iPhone 6 with iOS 12 for almost a week, how's the battery life? Same or better or worse? The reason I skipped iOS 11 on my iPhone 6 was the comments that said it totally ruined the battery life. Has that been fixed in iOS 12?

I own a 6 (64GB) and like you, skipped iOS 11 completely and was on 10.3.3 until last Sunday. Having read a LOT of forums and opinions I took the plunge last Monday and have used it for the last week. Performance wise it's excellent - I would say it's easily as quick as 10.3.3 at most general phone tasks (email, messaging, browsing, photos etc.) and actually loads some of my more memory-intensive games quite a bit faster. It's got some really cool features (password manager is excellent, grouped notifications are a godsend, plus who doesn't love a bucketload more emojis... ;)). Don't think I've seen too much of a change in RAM management but with only 1GB, we're on the back foot from the start there in terms of apps nowadays so I can't really complain.

Battery-wise though I have to say I'm a little disappointed so far; on the whole I tend to leave it plugged in while at work during the week so a lot of the time I don't have to worry too much and up until Friday was more than satisfied, but I was on holiday over the weekend and was quite surprised at how quickly it seemed to drain whilst out and about. I wouldn't say I was using many "big" apps that I would expect to chew through my battery, so I'm hoping that my phone *might* still be doing some indexing which I can attribute it to but I'd say it definitely gave me 20-30% less time than I've come to expect in everyday use. Plus I got the 20% and 10% warnings within a few minutes of each other and actually saw the percentage drop straight from 13-9 this morning.

I'll try using it throughout the day without charging tomorrow and see if I can get a bit of a better indication...but it's a little difficult because as far as I can tell, there's no way to get definitely stats since last charge any more, it's just "last 24hrs".

So how does that relate to someone using iOS 10 on their device and asking about iOS 12?

Hello, I have an Ipad Air 2+Iphone 6 Plus+Iphone 7 Plus and they are all running IOS 12, I have seen improvement on how quick apps are opening on all devices.:)

I just updated my iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6 to iOS 12. The 6 went from iOS11 to iOS12 and it's everything it's cracked up to be. So much faster and more responsive. This doesn't help the OP, though.

The iPad mini 2 was on iOS10.3.x and it's now on iOS12. Seems about the same, honestly. Animations seem a little smoother, but Safari is about the same. I'm not too demanding on the iPad as it's mainly a reading device (comics mostly).

On your iPhone, I'd weigh the plus/minus for each. You'll lose any critical 32bit apps if you upgrade, but you'll get better security. Siri on my iPhone6 seems to be fixed (iOS11 Siri took forever to start listening) back to iOS10 speeds.

I updated my 6 Plus from 10.3.3 to 12, and it's running decently faster than 10 surprisingly. I don't have stutters in apps like YouTube or Narwhal anymore. Battery life has taken a noticeable hit though.

How noticeable is the battery life hit if I may ask?
