And I understand what the other guy is asking for. I think Apple decided that with the full computer and keyboard interface, there would be no reason to support the old-style T9 keyboard. An arbitrary decision, perhaps, but Apple always tries to advance technology and isn't shy about dropping the old stuff.

True. Maybe someone in the jailbreak community will address this, unless there's already a tweak out there for it. I don't know. It's not high on my priority list LOL...

I can't adjust to iTunes?

Hmm I can't answer that question for you, you just have to try it to see it yourself.

On a good note though, iPhone is less reliant to iTunes these days. No more iTunes activation or software update. I have family members who use their phones without computer or iTunes just fine.

I honestly only ever use iTunes to back up my phone now, which is encrypted and that's a good thing. I had difficulty breaking into my backup before and I appreciate that kind of security Apple provides. I'm subscribed to iTunes match so I just download the songs I want on my phone.

But of course there are still some frustrating things, like I can't backup app setting/content individually, or I have to keep updating iTunes and OSX all the time, or that some apps are region-locked so I have ten different iTunes account from different countries.

It's not perfect but there are good things about it, for one I much prefer the App Store than the Android market place, it's regulated so it's much more organised.
