I'm thinking of getting a 6 Plus in October after it's discounted. But I'm just interested in the storage capacities. The 5S is on 16 and 32, after discontinuing the 64GB model. So it would kind of make sense to discontinue the 128GB. But 16 and 64 doesn't make sense, especially considering te $50 difference that is likely to occur. So I think 16 and 32 is more likely. And if the 6S starts at 32GB, then it might even be 32 or 64, which I'm really hoping for.
Also wondering what the price differences between the 6 and 6 Plus, and between the 6S and 6S Plus will be. $100 for both? $50 for both? $100 for the 6S and $50 for the 6?

There is no way to know and all speculation. Not so sure they will get rid of the 128GB 6/6+

You really think so? With every iPhone to date they have discontinued the highest storage model. If you meant that they won't do away with 128GB entirely, I agree with you. It will just be on the 6S, that's all.

Hmm, my guess:

$0/$449: iPhone 5s 8 or 16GB

$99/$549: iPhone 6 16GB
$149/$599: iPhone 6 32GB

$199/$649: iPhone 6s 16 or 32GB
$299/$749: iPhone 6s 64GB
$399/$849: iPhone 6s 128GB

$199/$649: iPhone 6 Plus 16GB
$249/$699: iPhone 6 Plus 32GB

$299/$749: iPhone 6s Plus 16 or 32GB
$399/$849: iPhone 6s Plus 64GB
$499/$949: iPhone 6s Plus 128GB

Wonder how many people will rush to buy the mythical 32gb iphone 6

Eh, seems reasonable. If the 6S Plus starts at 32GB, and the 6 Plus starts at 16GB, I will likely go for the 6S Plus. To me $100 is a bit much, but $50 seems fine. And if the 5S is 8GB...Screw you :apple:, screw you.

The 128gb size was very popular but when you look back at what Aplle has done in the past, you are likely right and the will go with a lower memory figure just in case you need a little push to go to the 6S

That is a lot of options, with a lot of overlap. I think the range will be smaller than that to avoid confusion. I doubt the 6 Plus will remain.

I'm doubtful about the 6 Plus, too, but it's probable. We already have the iPad mini 2 16/32, iPad mini 3 16/64/128, iPad Air 16/32 and iPad Air 2 16/64/128 so there's a bit of a precedent. If not for the expectation of a "free" iPhone, I doubt the 5s would remain.

The 6 plus has sold a ton in China so I think the Chinese demand will keep the 6 plus alive. Phablets are all the rage in China.

Just a thought, if in the US, carriers usually start offering older models for a discount a couple of months or so prior to the Apple keynote. Oftentimes, I find the pre-keynote discounts to be better than the new MSRP so that's something to watch for.

UK here. I'm not sure if they would do the same thing here. Plus, I'm only eligible for an upgrade in October. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

If it wasn't for the shocking lack of 2gb ram on the 6 plus I would say it's worth looking at getting one instead of the 6s plus (with the discount).

I'm pretty sure I'd be fine with 1GB. I have an iPad Air 2 and if I'm not using MacRumors, I always have about 1GB free. And iOS 9 should improve on memory management.

Sorry to revive the thread, but I still want to know what you people think. Since it looks like 32GB may well happen, would it really make sense to have a 32GB 6 just $50 less than a 32GB 6S? So we might see 32GB and 64GB with the 6.
