I used to rave about how great my iPhone 6 battery was. Suddenly after a year it's useless. Not on a gentle slope to useless, but it's gone from having 50% left at night to needing charging at lunchtime. Anyone else having this issue? If I were cynical I'd note how all my iPhones had done this around the time the 'S' version appears. But that must be coincidental. Must be... Cheers.

Assuming that all your settings are the same and your apps are the same, I would ask your carrier if there have been changes in their infrastructure. Especially since you said "suddenly."

It's a thought.

I thought this over the last 2 days, but I noticed a setting on my fitness pal app that was a absolutely draining my battery.

It was getting really hot for the past 2 days charging was awful and battery drained so quick.

My fitness pal over 24 hours used 42% battery.

Now I've checked the setting its gone right down to 15%, so I'm going to check and see how it gets on tonight.

My suggestion is to check all recently updated apps.

It's probably a dodgy app or setting. If you can't work out what the problem is try resetting all settings, then going back through them and setting it up how you like it.

Get rid of Facebook!!! It definitely seems to be the number one battery hog app.

Otherwise, have you noticed getting fewer bars of cellular reception? If so, your battery could be draining because your phone is working harder to maintain a signal.

What version of iOS are you on? The battery life on my 6 Plus was awful on iOS 9. Since updating to iOS 9.0.2 I'm up to 11 hours of use and more than 2 and a half days of standby time.

Everything is a conspiracy to some people. Try hard reset and check your battery usage.

If u have AppleCare plus they'll replace your battery at least if it's lost 20% capacity

You have to check first your device if it has running unnecessary background apps that drains the battery fast. Go to Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage, there you'll find the list of apps and how much battery they’re consuming, if you find one that's not used but still running, you can either switch it off or delete it.

same thing happened with my iphone 4, iphone 5s and now my iphone 6. suddenly after the next big ios version is released, my battery life "unapologetically" decreases by roughly 15-30% after a day of usage. this is before upgrading too. no idea how apple does it.
