Ever hear of OS X? People aren't getting tired of the same icons look and feel, there's no need to completely redesign the interface or the hardware. Apple will keep making evolutionary improvements on iOS and the iPhone design for a long time to come.

I don't think the next phone isn't going to have any major design changes to it. The 2012 model will definitely have something interesting going on for sure.

Design should always serve some kind of purpose

why would you make such an ugly 'side cable' dock?
why that 'thumb shaped' silver patch around the home button? ... for collecting fingerprints, i suppose
why put the power button up there?

this isn't a concept, it's a 3D modeling exercise, really :/


edit: oh, i get the dock now, the 30pin's on the side, and you'll just slide it in that way. that's kinda neat
then again, i don't think they're gonna make the new phone incompatible to every single 'universal dock' sporting device just by moving the connector there.

good or bad it's not a problem but, do not behave as if you are professional designer and worked at apple for 25 years and create all the best stuff! the most significant in design is that if you were most powerful designer in the world even you, could not criticize work of another designer because there is no rules there and if you were professional you would know this! if you feel uncomfortable when you look on it just tell that you do not like it and thats all do not blah blah blah here

there is a big difference between see and create so looking at vangogs art do not make you good artist

'do better' is not a valid argument if people just think your design is not thought-through and really not aestheticly pleasing.

there was no aggression in my post whatsoever, i just pointed out, for example, that you probably thought 'shiny silver around the home button looks cool' without considering that it collects fingerprints.

You post your ideas on a forum, so be ready to read what people think about it :/
