iPhone 6 Display broke by opening Box

Hello everybody!

I think everyone saw the video about the guy dropping his iphone 6 at release day... same happened to me! The display broke and has a small scratch in the upper left...

I am from italy. Now i would like to know if somebody knows if they will repair my iPhone under garranty or if I would have to pay for it? How much does it costs to repair the display?

Read many other posts on different forums: some said they got a new iphone without paying, some had to pay 109$ (but how much is it in italy?!)...

I hope someone could answer me my questions!

In the U.S. if you have Apple do it it's $109 for the iPhone 6.

You can see if they'll cover it but I doubt it since technically you dropped it.

why is there no note on the apple website on the price in italy? I mean I saw the normal costs of an out of warranty price -> like over 300€! Don't they just switch the screen here in italy too?!

The phone is so new I don't think many US stores do screen replacements yet either.
They will charge you just the smaller fee to replace the screen and give you a replacement iphone 6. That's what they do here.
You just have to call them and ask.
And no its not something that's covered under warranty.
Be careful how you handle your phone.
Its not the box that broke your screen.

Found nothing on the italian webpage except of the 299€ (nearly 300$) charge for a oow repair... I hope the support will repair or exchange my phone for 100€... #
