The iMos 3D could be made out of diamond with an Adamantium-Vibranium alloy substrate, but it's still an ~$80 insurance policy on a ~$10 piece of glass that would cost at most ~$120 to replace. That's just not going to pencil out for some people.

I bought a Benks protector, but I didn't install it because I could tell that overhang was going to be a problem. Are you saying the ESR protector has the same overhang/lint trap as the Benks?

The ESR looks good in the pictures, so I was going to jump on it, but if it's the same as the Benks I already have, then I guess I won't.

The Aegis seems like the clear choice to me, but it's a little rich for my blood...hoping for a cheaper alternative.

Thanks!

Yep exactly the same as the benks. Just re-branded in different packaging. It's a decent protector though. Glass feels really nice.

However...I believe I have now found the perfect combination of case/tempered glass protection.

The problem I personally had with the benks protector is how it made the side bezels look larger, thus making the screen seem a tad smaller (yes that's a bit ocd).

I was on the hunt for the perfect protector (until the curved tempered glass finally makes it to market at an affordable price). Saw the Aegis protector on eBay for £13.99 (about $20?), took the plunge and it finally appears like my phone is where I want it to be in terms of protection.

I have attached photos of my phone. The protector is the Aegis and the case is a shumuri 0.3.

As you can see from the pictures, none of the phone is exposed. The edge of the shumuri case lines up perfectly (literally perfectly) with the silicon edges of the Aegis protector.

Once more the aegis protector employs a silicon edge, not a sticky one like the benks which makes it less prone to attracting lint/dust. It covers the front of the phone very nicely, it is the best glass protector I have used thus far.

I have the black smoke shumuri case coming in the post too currently so I can also post pics of that combination with the Aegis protector when it arrives.

able to pay 199/299/399 for a phone but couldn't invest on a $60 and whining there are no perfect screen protectors? jeez people nowadays are just hard to be satisfied.

It looks like the Aegis IS the perfect* screen protector, and for $20, I'm gonna hit it.

Found the aegis in black for $25 with shipping on eBay - at the high end of my price range, but still reasonable. Thanks, Pez555!

(*Not that the iMos isn't even more perfect, but, you know, 80 bucks...)

iPhone 6 Edge-to-edge Glass Screen Protector — The holy grail?

Don't they? The auction I purchased from had a white 6 plus option.

Well I don't see any as of now. I searched different options as well.

Edit: I found it. There's only 1 listing as far as I can see $25.

Anyone know what the difference in this is bs nillkin? They do look the same.

Thanks for bringing this one to my attention! looking to buy it..Have found it on eBay and it ships from Bulgaria, is this the one that you bought?

Do you think that other cases such as the official Apple one would play nice with this protector?

Thanks :)

Just keep in mind that SPs like Aegis and Nilikin are flat. Your device will seem bigger as the edges of the SP are not curved, so it essentially makes the front of the phone like a 5. If you have the right case that meets up with the glass edge, it will be more seamless, but still a flat (larger) front.

This comes from experience. I didn't like it so I took them off. You may not mind. Just giving you a users experience. I like the curved edges of the 6 and do not like sacrificing this.

I would also imaging that this "floating edge" of glass would be easy to break.

To each his own...

I eventually went for this edge to edge one from Anker. Cost me £12.99.

Just hoping it will play well with my case

That's the problem, these do not play well with cases unfortunately.

From what I've found out from people on Amazon who have already bought it, this one seems to be okay with the cases they have :) it's coming tomorrow anyaay so will report back when I have fit it

Please report back on case compatibility? I just installed an Otterbox Alpha Glass yesterday, and wound up popping it off & trashing it because none of edges refused to stay stuck down.

I have tried & been disappointed with three separate glass SP's so far, and I am to the point of going back to a "normal" type (ZAGG HDX or Spigen) instead of glass...which I greatly prefer, because of the issues that seem to be all inclusive with the glass products. Quite a bummer, truthfully.

Did I read correctly that ZAGG and iLoome are both releasing redesigned products soon?

borders are also transparent? thats new. do you know if the adhesive sides are only on certain areas? Most of the 'full' protectors have adhesive side on either the borders or the screen part. Any downsides? thanks

The border is black or white, just like the other full coverage protector, but this one is very thin, so it seems invisible. I think the adhesive side is only on the screen. The downside is it is hard to stick it perfectly by yourself, the cut out of the top and bottom are very precise.

Looks very nice. Do you have apple's leather case close by so you could try if SP works with it?

i dun have the leather case, but i think this SP works with it. because it is slightly smaller than the screen, it is flat and it doesn't cover the edges of the screen.

----------

How was the install process? Seems to be tricky with the curved edges?

it doesn't cover the curved edges...it isn't a 3D glass.

----------

I think that the worste part is to buy it. damm. How much in euros?

i saw this brand Wriol on ebay, but this 0.15mm SP isn't out yet.Maybe later.
And it costs about 10 euros.
