Curve on each iPhone is slightly different, it's difficult to make glass sp to match phones curve perfectly.

I think you'd find that you'd be dealing with the exact same problem as these other companies are, and having just as hard of a time trying to solve it. There is a reason the major SP makers went with the non edge to edge: case compatibility is difficult and they need to sell a product that doesn't have such issues.

I proposed a kickstarter to make a proper SP for iPhone 6/6 Plus.
I think the reason there aren't any *good* screen protectors for iPhone 6/6 Plus has more to do with most SP companies not willing to invest the engineering effort necessary (you'll notice most SP are the same... usually just rebranded). It probably costs $0.50 (or less) to manufacture a 10-30 dollar SP. Insanely high profit margins (which is why every single one has a 'lifetime' warranty... you'd have to replace the SP many times over in order to put a dent in the margins... and ZAGG charges 6 bucks for 'shipping and handling' which essentially offsets this loss... btw, if you order from Amazon, you can return for free for any reason).
With 3D printing I don't think it would be terribly difficult to make accurate molds (with variations in screen curvature) to work with.
The current edge-to-edge aren't really edge-to-edge. You just can't see the gap or area where the SP isn't adhering to the screen when looking at the screen (it's apparent from the sides).
If it costs us 5 bucks to manufacture and we sell them for 30-35 bucks, I think that's a pretty good kickstarter project (I don't see the need to be overly greedy regarding profit margins here). That's still a 500-600% markup (half of that or more will get sunk into R&D, marketing, manufacturing, etc).

BTW, I think the 'trick' is having variable thickness glass. You'd want the area where the glass on the SP curves to be much much thinner so that it almost blends into the side of the iPhone. Thinner glass will also adhere better to the screen since there's less resistance and pulling up of the glass. It will crack/break easier, but if there's a strong bond to the screen, this would be unlikely in normal, daily use.

You guys are blaming Apple for third party companies not having screen protectors that YOU find satisfactory? Really? Talk about entitled

I had the nilkin protector for a little while but the edge cracked from a 0.5 meter drop on to carpet -_-. When I removed it there was a layer of dust which accumulated where there is no adhesive.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Apple designers weren't focused on feeding the screen protector market when they designed the iPhone 6/6+.

That being said, the industry has done a very poor job of putting a product on the market that is user friendly, and does what it says it does. I've had three glass SP's on my iPhone 6 (ZAGG & Otterbox) and they all either cracked, chipped or refused to stay stuck down around the edges. And, it seems all the full-coverage glass products have glitches or can't be used with cases that are popular. Whatever. I'm using a Spigen Crystal and am suddenly very happy. It ain't as cool as glass...but it stays in place and doesn't crack.

Folks, I received and installed my Aegis a few days ago, and it's the complete solution. It covers Edge to edge, no gap, and looks clean and seamless. If you go back a few pages to see photos other users have posted, you'll see the white band around the edge of the protector - what that is is a sort of rigid plastic skirt that covers the gap along the edge. It works just fine, looks clean, and is really barely noticeable (unless you're taking macro shots of it).

One complaint I have is that there are two protective backings covering the adhesive when you receive it: one backing covering the opaque black portion of the glass, and one backing covering the transparent portion of the glass. Between the two (along the edge of the transparent portion of the glass/the edge of the phone's display), there's a gap between two protective backings. During installation, it's possible this very fine strip of unprotected adhesive could attract some dust (it takes some time to remove one adhesive backing, and then the other one, so it's exposed for some time). The result is you're probably not going to get a perfectly clean edge along the edge of the display. It's not a big deal, again, unless you're looking at it under magnification, but it's still a little obnoxious that they didn't just use one protective backing to cover the whole thing.

Strongly recommend.

iPhone 6 Edge-to-edge Glass Screen Protector — The holy grail?

I am using tech armors E2E glass screen protector. I have a thread that has a few pics.

Still no quality glass screen protector that does not have a gap between screen protector and glass?? This is ridiculous. In a way what a terrible design from apple for us that care about protecting our phones with a glass screen protector. I guess Apple really mean their devices are not made to be used with screen protectors...

Holy grail is right!

I personally have a plastic protector, £2 from amazon, and it's perfect. The cutouts fit perfectly up to my leather case, and it's stopping my phone getting scratched.

This is the one I bought

iPhone 6 Tempered Glass Screen Protector, ESR [100% Screen Coverage][Exclusive Design][C... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OIJ27L4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_BknHub0ATR0GZ

UPDATE: I broke the screen protector, so ordered the exact same one from Amazon.

The replacement is shockingly bad - dosnt stick, sides don't wrap around - all round a complete POS.

DONT BUY THE ONE I RECOMMENDED ANY MORE!!!!

Its as if they have replaced the screen protector with some super cheap version. :-(

It's tough finding a good edge-to-edge tempered glass protector that plays nice with cases. I got my sister an Anker Tempered Glass Full White and it works great. Only problem is she's using an Incipio NGP case and it pushes a bit on the sides of the tempered glass protector. I got it to play nice but there's a bubble on the bottom right that refuses to go away now.

Through a poster on here i found out about the Inskin full screen coverage. I had the dumbest moment when i decided to remove the case of my iPhone while at home. Long story short, i ended up with a cracked screen. Thank god i had applecare+. Still it sucked having to waste 79$ and have that happened on the 24th.

After getting the screen replaced, i went to a shop here to see what kind of glass screen protectors they had and i bought a 0.25mm one. Having always used anti-glare films, this was a change but i really like the feel of the glass now. Colours are nicer and the image is sharper. This screen protector still stopped short of the edges. My case, the Evutec Karbon has a lip but not a very high one so i was still worried of a repeat happening. Mind you, the only other time i dropped the phone was with the case on and it did an excellent job since it fell screen first. It fell from table height in case you guys are wondering.

The reason i still ended up getting the Inskin glass protector was due to where my screen broke from. It was the edge that took the impact and cracked the whole right half of the screen, underneath the anti-glare protector i had at the time. I ordered this full glass from them on the 26th and was shipped the same day to my surprise. I got it this week, i think it was either thursday or friday. You'll have to forgive the post new years eve lack of memory. :D

Inskin 0.33mm full screen coverage
http://www.inskin.ca/iPhone-6-Full-...iption=true&category_id=100&sub_category=true

Pros:
-seamlessly blends in with the phone design
-works with my snap case and comes flush with the lip edge
-only 2 cutouts (home button and earpiece) instead of 4/5 like other companies
-the areas around the screen are black so it looks almost like the real screen
-doesn't make the home button too deep (at least i find)

Cons:
It has a seal on the back that's only on the black area that you have to be very careful with as it peeled off when i used some tape to clean up dust that got on it during installation. Luckily it's not what binds the glass to the screen so it's not a major issue. I don't have any other cons at the moment as it's only been a few days of use. Will report back if i have any issues that pop up.

This is what they include in the package:
• Inskin Tempered Glass Screen Protector
• Microfiber Cleaning Cloth
• Alcohol Swab
• Anti-Static / Dust Removal Tape

Sorry for the crap photos. I had a shot of it with the screen on but i can't be bothered to retake it since for some reason, the photo came out darker than these two. iPhone photography really has spoiled us when you realize how much longer it takes with a regular camera. I might take some later with my lady's iPhone 5.

Yes, just like we expected Microsoft to pre write every third party company's software drivers prior to the release of windows Vista (XP actually had a lower compatibility rate but the key drivers were already good). Sarcasm of course.

I just tested new trents versuion (Arcadia full screen) and it looks exactly the same, .3mm, and actually his all the bubbles and edge life. It replaced my iloome. I do hear this design is still hit and miss.

Are those bubBles on the edges of the painted bezels inside the screen edges? what is that white lines inside

No bubbles guys. It's hard to take a proper photo that shows it perfectly. I'll wait to take some new photos with my girlfriend's iPhone 5 camera. As for the white lines, it's just reflection. It doesn't show when looking at the screen at all. Unless you angle it towards the light when the screen is closed. Hope this helps.

This is just a rebranded generic glass from China like Benks, Nilkin, Esr and the likes. All these glasses have white lines around the screen. The more expensive and better quality like the Mime color glass that I have on my phone now is all black, no white lines.

Can't speak for the others you mentioned but this doesn't feel cheap at all to me. Not to mention, as I've stated, there is no white lines. What you see there is a thing reclective line that only shows if you point a light at it from and angle. It's not visible when looking straight on. Also, how are the cutouts on the ones you mentioned? So far the costumer service for Inskin is great, then again, being from Canada, I might be biased. :p

I haven't read the entire thread but if not full edge to edge what is the closes available out there that the edges don't raise up with cases?

Looks like it has white lines around the screen to me, just like all the others I've mention in my previous post. Can you take a frontal pics with no flash. Just to clarify...

Not the best but you get the idea. Also before I get asked again, that's just dust on the glass, no bubbles.

lol, it's not really a frontal shot with no flash. It looks like you darken the screen with photoshop or something. You can see the lights reflection on your hands is very pronounced but ok if you said so.
