iPhone 6 Edge-to-edge Glass Screen Protector — The holy grail?

I am between imos and bodyguardz.. Money is not a problem... Pros/cons?

imos using genuine corning glass . as for bodyguardz, you can try asking them on the material used. As for oleophobic coating, after comparing with other brands in the market, imos seems to be the better one in terms of duration based on the same usage.

Hi, long time lurker in here but finally wanted to post some question about this glass if anyone could help me or if I may missed it. Any word on the compatibility of this screen protector with Otterbox Commuter? I'm pretty sure it would be an issue since my current cheapy Nillkin non full coverage has little gaps in between the glass and the surrounding of the inner case itself. Very much appreciated if someone could confirm. Cheers.

BTW, I received my Imos last week and did not have a good experience. The packaging is incredible and the glass itself is as beautiful as advertised. It looks and feels amazing. However, I could not get a proper install on my device. No matter what I did, there was a long bubble up and down the right side of the screen. .

yes, same as mine.. i bought it at hongkong last dec.. really not worth for that price... bad luck.. lol

First, I got a long bubble on right side. Unsatisfied, I redid it. Screwed totally. Now with parts of screen not sensitive. Typing this message is a pain. Check photo:

There's few reason why the long bubbles surface on imos 3D Corning for batches before February 2015.

1. Misalignment of the protector. It's made for perfection and any misalignment will cause bubbling.

2. Adhesive issues - We experience it with our stocks too and we are offering refunds to those affected *t&C applies

3. We have heard on reports that some glass surface not perfectly flat and thus cause bubbling on the edges. *needs further proof on this

Anyway, all the issues for imos 3D Corning has been solved and for the last 2 batches we had, we have zero complaints on bubbling. (except caused by misalignment which customer claimed to easily fix it by realigning the protector)

this is our own unit. February 2015 batch. Looking at yours, I think you did not push out the bubbles? Did your refer to the installation process?

Thanks for laughing, but unfortunately it is $70 USD or so down the drain.

I did push out the bubbles on my first try, but as I said there was still a long streak of bubble on the right side, so I lifted it up and redid it. Some dust then got adhered to the glue. Using the provided stickers to take the dust out only made the glue dirtier. Pushing out the bubbles worked on the first try. After re-applying, the glue isn't as strong anymore and some bubbles remain, and some return even after disappearing.

The photo only showed the bubbles, but there is also smear of the glue on the bottom that shows through even on areas without bubble...

Moving on to try some other options... For now, back to a cheapo Rinco glass protector (I'm surprised that it adheres so much easier)

Laughing at a customer having difficulty with the product = not inspiring confidence in customer service. You lost a potential customer here.

You stay classy, Connect2U

They are challenging to install, but you do have to follow the video instructions very carefully. It takes some time to get all the bubbles out, but I was able to do it and I hate installing SPs.

At this price, there should be a replacement policy!

i'm pretty sure its not because of no. 1, maybe because of the adhesive issue of the early batch.
after more than 3 months.. still looking like this...

here is what they replied to me...
You should follow the instruction in youtube and use plastic side of pen to squeeze the air bubble out.
Base on your photo, your film is in normal condition, after squeeze the bubble by pen will be in perfect condition.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d0VZj_93Ls

If you need installation assistant, you may bring the phone & film to our office and we will help you to fix it.
While, we will fix the bubble only but not dust inside the film due to your installation.

For further enquiry please don't hesitate to contact us.
Thank you.

fyi, i already squeezed a lot.. like a loottt...i squeezed until the coating worn off as you can see at my picture... and it's still like that...its simply won't stick, i think it's maybe because of the glue not strong enough...

We are sorry but we are not laughing at all. We just want to make sure customers do check out the installation process as it might be different that other brands due to the 3D corning glass that curved inwards. And the very reason why we ask is because we did come across few customers who thought it's the same installation process as other brands and messed up with it.

There is, we have been replacing and offer refunds to more than 10 customers for the earlier batches. But again, different resellers have different return policy.

If it's not no 1. Then it should be the adhesive.

I strongly agree.

Instead of laughing at their customer, they should be sending their customer a replacement.

I'm not sure how you managed to miss the post right above and the others where they said they've been refunding people.

Im curious as to what the abbreviation "lol" means then? Please elaborate.

Now THIS is funny. Also their customer service is laughable. I mean, I was never ever going to spend $70 for a damn screen protector, but at least respect the ones that were willing to buy your product.

We are not laughing at buyer's bad experience but on our own experience. We are not sure if the other seller did remind customer to check the installation guide before installing, but based on our own experience, installing the earlier batch of the 3D Corning without referring to the installation guide is really a hellish experience. And looking at the photo, it flashed back to our own experience too. I hope this explains the LoL. (the photo was deleted. Otherwise will show you the similarity of both our photo and parrot5 photo)

And normally if the bubbles really persist, we would offer a refund to our customer.

But in this case, since it's bought from another seller, we are unable to do anything from our side.

But in this case, since it's bought from another seller, we are unable to do anything from our side.

So, I am confused. Are you not the manufacturer? In my line of work, I have over 30 distributors globally selling our products (I manage the division).

If a customer has a problem with one of the products I manufacture, regardless of whichever distributor sells it, I step in directly with that customer to ensure they are happy.

Ultimately, I am responsible for my brand and satisfaction.

My Benks 0.2MM screen protector just arrived - it is the old version sadly and the glass doesn't curve but it's still really nice.

Has air gaps around all the edges but doesn't bother me that much. Definitely recommend it for the price, the glass feels awesome.
