I have an iPhone 6, 128GB, running iOS 10.1.1 which has decided it no longer wants to be my friend.

At least 3-4 times a week the iPhone will have a sudden drop in battery life, going from say 55% to 11% not ideal especially when you need for phone for plane tickets. The drops can be anywhere from 20-65% from what I have seen. I have no background apps going, I close them when I don't need them. And my phone is always in low power mode.

Also from time to time, has happened 3 times this week alone, my phone will just shut off and display the flat battery symbol when I try and turn it back on. This can happen anywhere from 40% to 75% again not an ideal thing to happen. The moment it gets plugged back in turn on and displays whatever the % was before it turned off.

My questions are:

1. Does this happen to any other iPhone 6 users?
2. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the issue, or help it happen less frequently.

I had the same problem with my 6 Plus. The phone would drop from 30% to less than 10% and then shut off. And plugging it back in would give the indicator at 20% or something.

Since Europe has a 2 year warranty period Apple exchanged it.

I have this exact same issue on my 6 Plus.

Shame mine is out of the 2 year warranty.

You device might be included in the recall.

Long thread on this is: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/iphone-6s-turning-off-at-10-20.1954530/

That's only for the iPhone 6s, not the 6 :(

dont worry my iPhone 6 is doing the same thing
Run perfect in 9.3.5 updates to 10.1 then 10.1.1 then 10.2.beta 4 same thing all the way through iOS 10
Had my battery changed twice same thing..
the other day went into my local mobile phone repair shop he said my phone is the same iPhone 6 Plus..
guessing it must be a bug or something.
Mine shuts down at least twice a day
Wished I never updated to iOS 10

I Believe MacRumors just posted an article similar to the circumstances you were experiencing with in the last few days. Refer back to the main page articles and see if this correlates to your issues.
