I have had my ATT iPhone 6+ for two years. Verizon seems to have better coverage in our area though.

Is it possible to use my iPhone on something like Straight talk using the Verizon network instead of the AT&T network?

I thought I read somewhere that starting with the 5 or 6 they had both GSM and CDMA built into them.

I believe it can. You need to have AT&T unlock it though.

It's weird because the 7 and 7 Plus wouldn't work the way you wanted but the 6 and 6 Plus can. Is your A1522? It will say on the back of the phone on the bottom.

Because the 6 models have a different chip in them vs the 7 models. And then the 7 models have two different chips of their own. One that uses GSM only and then one that uses GSM and CDMA.

I just switched to Verizon and took an unlocked att 6 and 6S+ with me. Verizon is paying $200 per line to do it.
