Hi

I have an iPhone 6 and am using a running/cycling program that operates by GPS. The GPS itself is woefully bad using straight lines between way points and not following the actual route taken. It starts and and ends in the right place though. This morning I cycled one mile through the sea, apparently.

I have tried re calibrating the compass, switching flight mode on and off, restarting the phone etc etc but none of it seems to make much difference. Any ideas gratefully received as always.

Thanks

Phil

It could be that the app isn't properly retrieving your location when the phone is locked.

I'd try and cycle around with the built-in Maps app and see if it follows me accurately. If it does, then it's probably a problem with this cycling app.
