I used to have no problem picking my iPhone 5s off of a table, but the 6 is freakin' hard to grip when it's laying flat on it's back. It's so flat and the rounded edges make it super slippery.

Go ahead, try to pick up your iPhone 6 from the table.

PS: I usually try grabbing it by the sides with my thumb and fingers.

You need to work those figure muscles!

----------

Get a case.

----------

Use your pinky nail from one side of the phone to lift off the table.

I agree, it's so thin and the rounded edges make it very difficult to pick up...without a case.

I can pick it up much easier than the 5 and 5s because the 6 is slightly raised by the protruding camera and the rounded sides let your fingers slide under the phone right away.

I'm not saying the protruding camera is a good or bad thing but I'm only answering the topic of this thread.

It seems you only have two options.

1. Take the table with you.

2. Don't put it down.

It's not about muscle. It's a slippery device

I don't want a case. I like the look and feel of the phone when it's in my hand (after I freakin' pick it up that is).

I tried that, but there's almost nothing for the nail to grip. It's just round and smooth.

I mentioned the same thing in another post. Anyway, maybe try this:

You know you have a successful product when this is the kind of **** people complain about.

No there is a third option. Lift one end of the table until the phone slides to the edge and voila pick it up. Be careful though if you let it fall onto the floor you'll be in the same predicament and will most likely just have to leave it there and go buy another phone.

:: lays phone face down on bar ::

Nope, came up pretty easily. 5 drinks in too.

I feel that Apple is forcing you to buy one of there $45 cases due to the camera lens which extends out (would hate to have it scratched) and due to the rounded edges and difficulty in getting a good grip. I think Apple goofed on this one, they went for pretty instead of usability.
